2nd Grade: Charles Demuth 2s

We discussed Charles Demuth's Figure 5 in Gold. Instead of drawing a "5" like Demuth, we decided to draw a "2" in celebration in all that is 2nd grade! 

Then the 2nd graders drew a bubble letter "2," used a ruler to draw 4-5 lines, and colored with oil pastels. 

My challenge: Like Demuth, create hidden numbers in and around the big "2." The kids had a fun time with this and often tried to stump me!

My rule: No white can be left over from the paper underneath; everything must be colored.
