In this lesson, we discussed Joan Miro and his use of line. I then demonstrated how different lines could create different emotions. The kids then had a blast drawing different types of lines (happy, sad, angry, and scared).
After this exercise, the kids used a black oil pastel to draw a "happy line." They then used watercolor to fill in each individual section. Finally, glitter and sequins were added for additional interest.
