Kindergarten Art: Totem Poles

In this lesson, the kindergarteners learned about totem poles.  They were able to tell what totem poles are, who creates them, and what they look like. 

Then, using cardboard, two egg carton cups for eyes, paper mache, paint, and colored paper, they each created their own animal. 

Each unique animal was then stacked like a real totem pole.  This is the result!
